DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
When you design something for someone, or even for yourself,
there are certain questions that you need to ask yourself. These questions
explain whether or not your design considerations fit the purpose for which
they will be used:
1. Who
is it for?
2. What
is it for?
3. Will
it do the job?
4. Is
it cost effective?
5. Is
it safe?
6. Is
it easy to use (ergonomics) ?
7. Does
it look good (aesthetics) ?
8. Will it affect the society?
9. Will
it affect the environment?
Definitions
of this terminologies
Ergonomics:
The study of people's efficiency in their working
environment, it also looks at how we use and design our objects, systems,
structures and environments so that we can be safe, efficient and productive in
our workplace.
Aesthetics:
• A
set of principles concerned with the nature and appreciation of beauty.
• The
branch of philosophy which deals with questions of beauty and artistic taste.
